Joel! Read my book! I did a great in depth analysis of this very issue: https://www.amazon.com/Heroes-Villains-COVID-19-Book-Lists/dp/B0BKHQ7CWN/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1672168850&sr=1-1
I recall being quite careful when the virus first came on the scene, because it might be dangerous, but after about 4 weeks it was clear there was little to no real danger. Infection fatality rate data, even the CDC's badly skewed numbers, soon indicated the virus posed no meaningful danger for the great majority (zero for healthy youngsters). So very early on anyone who took a little time to check the data knew there was absolutely no reason to panic or get hysterical, which made all the government mandated nonsense which followed extremely aggravating. Sweden was wise enough not to go down the lunacy path.
