They concluded:
Compared to the baseline period, there was no evidence of a change in the incidence of cardiac death in the six weeks after vaccination, whether for each of weeks 1 to 6 or the whole six-week period.
There was a decrease in the risk of all-cause death in the first week after vaccination and no change in each of weeks 2 to 6 after vaccination or whole six-week period after vaccination.
There is no evidence of an association between COVID-19 vaccination and an increased risk of death in young people.
They reached this conclusion by comparing the death rates 1 to 6 weeks after vaccination to rates 7-12 weeks after vaccination. Here is a picture of those deaths:
Is there the same death before and after the dotted lines? Or do my eyes deceive me?
Alberta, anyone?
Of the 585 deaths which occurred within 12 weeks of receiving a COVID-19 vaccination, 105 were due to a cardiac event.
That’s 18%. Are almost 1 in 5 of all deaths of 12 to 29 year olds really due to cardiac events? If I had the data, I could check but what I keep hearing is that young people don’t often die from cardiac events. *See pinned comment for some further, very rough sanity checks on this number.
I’m sorry but this does not pass the initial smell test for me and deserves more thorough investigation. Fortunately, I know of a university professor who specialises in designing analytical models for complex systems who is doing just that.
One other useful nugget came out of this paper:
The NIMS data includes most COVID-19 vaccinations administered in England since 8 December 2020. However, in some rare cases, the vaccination records of people who died shortly after vaccination may not be recorded in NIMS. This would happen if the death was recorded on the Personal Demographics Service (PDS) before the vaccination records were sent to NIMS. Therefore, we supplemented the vaccination records from NIMS using a special extract of 2,044 people who died after vaccination but whose records for the last vaccination received were not sent to NIMS, 2 of whom were aged 12-29 and had a linked death record.
Over 2,000 people dying so soon after injection that their death record was made before their vaccination record is “rare”??! Come on! This isn’t an inoculation, it’s euthanasia!
I wrote in great detail about my suspicion that thousands of vaccinated deaths were not recorded properly.
A hypothesis that I put forward several times was the possibility that some people died so soon after vaccination that their vaccination record wasn’t updated before their death record. And now we have confirmation of that. Another conspiracy theory becomes fact.
So, that’s 2,000 of the missing 6,000 found. I’m sure we’ll find the others in due course.
I am not convinced. There was an article in the "New Statesman" in November 2018 headlined "Every week 12 young people die from sudden cardiac death. Is it time to start screening runners?". This, of course, is pre-Covid. See https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2018/11/every-week-12-young-people-die-sudden-cardiac-death-it-time-start-screening
Multiply 18 and 12. My calculator says 216. Which is more than twice 105. So the baseline death rate from cardiac events in young people is, perhaps, higher than one might have thought. It's certainly a common enough event to have featured as a case story in the Royal College of Physicians (UK) Membership exam
Yum yum - no surprises there! By coincidence an hour ago I published some work that is strongly suggestive of the ONS missing a fat wedge of all cause deaths for the younger age bracket. Here's the link to part 1 of what will be a 4 part series. At some point I'll flip to modelling mode and start to estimate how many young bodies they are hiding in the closet.
