I voted for ‘Climate’ - I’m in the majority for once! Although I don’t think the CFC/ozone issue is part of that scam. That’s because when I was in college in the mid 70s one of the scientists who developed that hypothesis, Sherwood Rowland gave a presentation, and what impressed me was how he rationally laid out the reason why CFCs were a problem. I, and most people at the time, thought it was ridiculous that propellents in hair spray, for instance, could cause such harm, but he convinced me they could.
His rational, scientific argument changed my mind. That is in complete contrast to all of the climate ‘science’ now, which is nothing but grant money driven hysteria.
I had to look up Rowlands’ name for this comment and saw that he received a Nobel in Chemistry in 1995, so apparently he wasn’t just making stuff up. But that may have been the last time the climate scientists were right.
I followed this up myself recently and was finally of the opinion that there was a theoretical risk but the concentrations of CFCs was far too low, by at least an order of magnitude, to represent a real problem.
I no longer believe the official story on anything that I cannot check. So those images of “the hole in the ozone layer” I now regard as deeply suspect.

Scientists know that co2 is essential, that EVs won't save the world, that disagreement happens (only a few predicted an ice age in the 70s), that co2 is both a cause and consequence of rising temperature etc etc etc; it just went on and on with easily refutable tired old tropes.

Youre tunnel-visioning on the wolves while ignoring the sheep. For the sheep these scams are religions who provide their empty boring un-free lives with purpose, excitement, and meaning. It's easy to forget that people were not just panicking and scared to death in 2020, many had also the best times in their lives. It's the same with the climate religion. On one hand theyre depressed, on the other their lives have gotten a focal point and a guide line. Never underestimate the horror vacui. Large parts of western people cant find purpose in the "normal" things, like creating a family and pursuing a career.

Difficult choice but I've gone for climate as it's been pushed for so long that people have been brainwashed into believing it for a very long time. We grew up believing that newspapers and 'news' told us the truth and it's hard for people to realise they've been taken for fools.
It doesn't take much thought for a non scientist like me to know that the CO2 scare is nonsense. What I find hard to believe is that intelligent people do believe it.

Limescale doesn't help..... take the showerhead off and soak it in hot vinegar for an hour or so. The Acetic acid will dissolve the calcium carbonate and restore the shower pores.
It's easy to repair them.... if you can get the refridgerant. That's ALL most of them need!
I am betwixt and between, longterm I think the climate scam has the potential to severely erode our quality of life which will lead to poverty and everything that is connected to it. I voted for ‘Climate’ - I’m in the majority for once! Although I don’t think the CFC/ozone issue is part of that scam. That’s because when I was in college in the mid 70s one of the scientists who developed that hypothesis, Sherwood Rowland gave a presentation, and what impressed me was how he rationally laid out the reason why CFCs were a problem. I, and most people at the time, thought it was ridiculous that propellents in hair spray, for instance, could cause such harm, but he convinced me they could.
His rational, scientific argument changed my mind. That is in complete contrast to all of the climate ‘science’ now, which is nothing but grant money driven hysteria.
I had to look up Rowlands’ name for this comment and saw that he received a Nobel in Chemistry in 1995, so apparently he wasn’t just making stuff up. But that may have been the last time the climate scientists were right.
I followed this up myself recently and was finally of the opinion that there was a theoretical risk but the concentrations of CFCs was far too low, by at least an order of magnitude, to represent a real problem.
I no longer believe the official story on anything that I cannot check. So those images of “the hole in the ozone layer” I now regard as deeply suspect.
Hi Mike, I don't believe the 'official story' without checking either but when I started looking into the climate denial claims going round in health freedom I discovered that they are ones who are misrepresenting what the evidence shows or are using strawman arguments. Scientists know that co2 is essential, that EVs won't save the world, that disagreement happens (only a few predicted an ice age in the 70s), that co2 is both a cause and consequence of rising temperature etc etc etc; it just went on and on with easily refutable tired old tropes.

My understanding was that there was a threat but that as it was so easy for industry to change cheaply and with lots of kudos and brownie points the ozone was allowed to remain intact.

What I remember from his lecture in the mid 70s was that one CFC molecule combines with the ozone molecule repeatedly in a process that goes on a very long time, taking out ozone along the way. But, that was with one whole semester of chemistry under my belt, so it wouldn’t even have been hard to fool me.
But it was his straightforward, non-dramatic presentation that stuck out, at the time everybody was saying the idea was nuts, but he clearly was no.

I was pointing out the disturbing similarities between the two scams very early on. I came to the conclusion that Zero Covid was actually entry-level Net Zero, the shock and awe dry run for the eventual shutting down of the entire economy and our way of life and freedoms in pursuit of the insane dream of net zero 'planet destroying' carbon emissions. In order to accelerate this mad policy, to make it more like Covid, they are going to need the declaration of an 'emergency' in order to use emergency powers and it's no coincidence that the Biden regime in the States is currently toying with this insane idea. To declare an emergency, Biden needs something more than bad weather and climate models. The current run of record high monthly global temperature anomalies might be just the thing he needs, in conjunction with a predicted very active hurricane season. Watch this space.
