This is always where we were headed :(

Exactly right. The next stage of the revolution. As someone wrote, we own only what we can stand in front of with a gun.

PayPal recently canceled me, too! I wrote about it in the updates of my last post:

They are going to de bank everyone they can. I am so sorry MAA. Lets find a way around them.

I wish we could set up an alternative, but of course, we need a huge army to do so.

Thank you, Duchess! Indeed, it is a conundrum. My biggest worry is that this will happen with Stripe, too, as that is the only payment processor Substack uses, which creates an extreme vulnerability for both Substack and Substack writers. I have expressed this concern to tech support but don't know if they're doing anything to address it.

Expand full comment

Yes, even if Substack continues to stand up for free speech, who's to say that Stripe will do the same?

Is BigPharma/Big Brother/Big Media/Big Tech paying you to say that, or are you just volunteering your time out of the goodness of your heart? 😊

Never mind, I don't have time to engage with trolls as I'm already working 20-hour days to research and write articles in my efforts to defeat tyranny and end democide for a fluctuating fraction of what I could be making from client income, but I guess that just makes me an opportunist 😆

Grrr! How dare you devote the time to do the deep dives into the topics that the media refuses to cover, simply because people want to know the information! Stop trying to solve problems!

I guess we have different definitions of the freedom movement. I see Substack as absolutely central to it as it enables us to share valuable, life-saving information that is being censored by Big Tech/Big Media.

Perhaps you’re following the wrong Substackers? The scientists, physicians, data analysts, journalists, researchers, and writers I read are investing an enormous amount of time, labor, and love and making most if not all of their content available for free.

Some of my essays take dozens of hours to produce, and I amass hundreds of resources and links to supporting evidence in a single package that can be easily shared to educate and awaken others. I offer all of my formal articles free of charge to the public, and only 3.13% of my subscribers choose to pay to support my work.

I understand how you would see certain people with, say, the initials AB as grifters, but there are thousands of others who have made tremendous sacrifices to devote their lives to the freedom/truth/humanity movement, and to categorize most Substackers with the infamous few only serves the mainstream propagandists who wish to discredit the independent writers threatening their monopoly on the “Truth” and denting their BigPharma advertising revenue.

I'm shocked you're still on Twitter!

Me, too! 😆 I've survived one Twitter cancellation and two Facebook cancellations thus far. I think it's because I so rarely use social media—basically just to notify followers about new articles plus anomalous posts like this one.

There are several other payment services here. Stop using Paypal. https://wordsalad.info/storesharing.html#payment-services

Save this link, the censorship is not done.

I'm highly in favor of decentralizing payment processing and a great deal of internet infrastructure. It is a mistake to think that is all that is required however. The truth is that it's people tolerance (or even appetite for) censorship that allows it to flourish.

Fighting to find alternatives is a cat-and-mouse game. To challenge these measures head-on, people must make the public intolerant of censorship.

Here is the message I sent to PayPal

I’m shocked at the orgulho of deletion of accounts and demonetization of PayPal accounts wherever I turn! Your policies of harsh discrimination against everyone that does not comply with the establishment lies and disgraceful conduct and denounce it, you immediately act against them! I hear that in the UK and here in Germany a lot.

Your trampling on people’s rights to have their own opinion is past bordering tyrannical.

I do hope people take action against your completely discriminatory policy of not allowing anyone to protest against this very corrupt system. But the fact that you do unmask the very corruption inside PayPal as well.

Here are just a few of the accounts you have tyrannically acted against:

@BorisReitschuster @speechunion @LD_Sceptics & @toadmeister

To name a few only. The world is watching this development.

What could you possibly justify to act against these accounts?

Stop protecting a corrupt system against those that are speaking against it. Restitute all these accounts with full rights. Gofundme has lost a lot of business to givesendgo because such corrupt arbitrary policies. I hope you guys do the right thing for once.

You can't do business with Paypal. That's pretty much the end of the story. Everyone should cancel their account, as I did after they nuked Amazing Polly. Never going back. Vote with your dollars.

I’m sure Pay pal has a list. I give to an orphanage in Pakistan and a friend who’s sick on disability and her car broke down. Anyway it’s terrible, they lost my respect during the Canadian truckers debacle, freezing accounts & basically stealing.

I use Paypal about once a month to receive or send money. I do not pay for an account officially and I do not keep any money in Paypal. But I will now completely stop using it. It was requested by others that I use it, I do not like trusting a private company for money transactions processing anyway. Best

This is not new, it has been going on since 2017. Youtube has done this before, and kept the money in the accounts! Patreon has also, and that's the reason it's called Hatreon. There are many kinds of censorship, this is just one. For 300+ more examples of censorship see https://wordsalad.info/tag-censorship.html and search for company names like Youtube, Reddit, Patreon, etc.

“We’re all in this together?” Paypal, Fakebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc…I won’t grovel at the alter of these tyrants. They don’t care about you. They’ll go bankrupt instead of giving an inch to anyone with an alternative view. Unfortunately, fascism is ensconced in the World Wide Web. Remember how the internet was going to “free” us? Nice joke.

How about we just debank them? Don't use them. I know it makes life harder, but write a damn check. Send a money order. People can set up boxes or addressess that are not directly traceable.

Catherein Austin Fitts has it right. CASH or CHECK at all times.
