Syed's response was just brilliant. I've dealt with my share of God complex MD's who wouldn't know humility if it bit them on the arse repeatedly. Caz represents that group perfectly.

Wow. One of the best replies I’ve ever seen.

Respect to Dr. Syed who, knowing the medical world, did not mince his words. Instead, he gave us a very clear picture of how the compromised doctors behaved and still continue to in hospitals and their medical practices. They prefer to follow the narrative instead of studying the opposite view, reflecting and taking decisions.

It takes courage to face the mirror...

My mother refused Thalidomide way back in the 50's . I think this helped lay the foundations for my ability to always question medical "suggestions." Also, 20 years of working as a nurse in major hospitals certainly showcases who are ethical . Even in the 80's ,in my opinion, there should be a sign above any hospital's door saying : "Enter at Your Own Risk"; that to me is giving informed consent .

As an RN, who has worked in major US hospitals, I could not agree more.

Whenever anyone uses "anti-vaxx" you know they have no real argument, they just want to shoot the messenger.

Yep - I noticed that as well - and she did so after Arkmedic called her out on it on Twitter.

My research leads me to conclude that certain public health officials intentionally concealed evidence that the coronavirus was infecting many people as early as the fall of 2019. In this article, I list 27 ways officials likely accomplished this very important goal.

I don’t think any other Covid writer has looked at the question of HOW early spread was concealed from the public. And, in my opinion, officials HAD to conceal this evidence.

Turtles All The Way Down I rate one of the best sources of information!! As well as The Poisoned Needle by Elanor McBean... Shoo Amazing!! I can't understand that some people still chose to turn a blind eye on the Truth after facts have been showed...May God have mercy on their souls

Better to ignore the truth than realizing you had done your one and only body extreme harm willfully, with potentially permanent damage. The foolish part is the least of it.

Thalidomide is now marketed under another name used to treat multiple myeloma. My girlfriend was just on it, before her stem cell treatment. Got to keep getting money from drugs, just find an alternative use...

To be fair I was told that there were two isomers (mirror images of the drug). One is fine and and one causes the problems. They didn't separate the two when it was given to pregnant women. Hope that's true.

You’re correct. That was part of my very first lesson in enantiomers (isomers with mirror image symmetry) way back in first year university chemistry. It’s a fairly safe drug when a single purified enantiomer is administered

Interesting.

In many, if not most, cases, the mirror enantiomer is not even biologically active (as it won't bind into the pertinent receptor).

Hi Joel, I find the font in your Substack hard to read with ease. Might you consider a font easier on the eyes? I do think it is pretty, brings me back to the time of typewriters in use, but I find it so challenging. Thank you for considering!

It looks like a fixed width font, probably because he writes computer code to do data analysis . It's useful when writing code to keep things lined up. It doesn't bother me, but that's probably because I am used to it.
