People say they value freedom, but they don't realize how un-free they really are.

Expand full comment

Yep. In my area, a guy thinks he's "free" based on how loud of an exhaust system they can put on their great big 70,000$ pickup truck (they are enslaved to a bank for and will most likely never pay off). If one were to ask them to stop waking up their family by revving the engine in the middle of the night they would say, "It's a free country". That's just one example of dozens where people base their "freedom" on things that really have nothing to do with true liberty or freedom.

Mencken nail it almost EXACTLY 100 yers ago, in his column of 12 February 1923 in the Baltimore Evening Sun:

"The fact is that the average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely. Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty — and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies."

Pitch-perfect, like most of what Mencken wrote.

I remember when Donald Trump first invited Dr. Scott Atlas to work with the WH as an advisor. It was an astute decision made at a crucial time. Anyone who had followed Dr. John Ioannidis’ data on covid, could see age groups considered at risk of dying from Covid. That said, the risk was similar to the IFR for flu, in the frail elderly. Dr. Atlas a colleague of Dr Ioannidis, understood the IFR. But Dr. Atlas did not last long in the swamp. He recognised incompetence when he saw it and chose not to participate. A brilliant mind surrounded by bought and paid for gov’t officials.

Exactly. But if Trump had been half as smart or honest as DeSantis he would have figured out that Atlas knew what he was doing and Fouci and Birx were hacks. And the crap they were peddling would destroy our nation.

Pence 🤮🤬

Pence is a warlock. Boasted of it on Twitter the day Trumpenstein named him his running mate. Even hired a professional photographer to show his daughter Charlotte with no reflection.

You don’t like Trump but you also don’t have to make stupid comments about him. Read Edward Dowds book or watch him on Tucker’s FOXNATION and you’ll see that that the danger of the vaccines only becomes evident in 2021 when the mandates took effect. That’s Biden’s period. Trump in 2024--DeSantis 2028 for 2 terms! MAGA!!!

Trump used DOD to roll out a bioweapon on the American people and he still pushes the damn thing. And he allowed euthanasia of the elderly with Remdesivir and a Vent, allowed the withholding of safe and effective early treatment, and he allowed businesses to be closed and schools shuttered.

He was President when our nation was destroyed from within. No excuse on Earth will make that go away.

As Catherine Austin Fitts said, "either President Trump knew less than I did in 2020, or he allowed it all to happen intentionally, and I cannot believe he knew less than I did."

Yes Biden is 1000% worse. But is that any comfort? It certainly isn't for me.

Trump’s idiocy was not surrounding himself w/ more like Atlas & listening to him. To this day he refuses to concede what a horrible experiment this has been for the country & the world. I don’t believe he will get the nomination because of this hubris

Anybody w/ a brain knew & knows that “warp speed” meant cutting major corners & would have major consequences & many of we Trump supporters refused his “advice” to take it.

And he STILL won’t admit that people are being damaged & dying from his “vaccine”. No, he would never have mandated it & all the other things LGB-FJB has done to weaponize it. But not disavowing what his “vaccine” has done is the height of hubristic idiocy @ this stage

"Do the majority of people in society favour freedom and personal responsibility over state control and security?"

Yes, I think they do although I don't think they really know what that means! People like to think they take personal responsibility for their actions but those actions are often dictated by the state - things like sending your kids to school, giving them milk because it's good for bone growth, leaving parents in hospital because there has to be a "care package". Many of these things aren't really individual decisions arrived at by independent research and deep amounts of thought - we do things because we are told it's for the best or because we are required to. It's when you decide not to do the things that everyone else is doing that you realise how difficult it can be to justify your decision to use your personal responsibility and freedom to behave the way you think is appropriate. (Does that make sense?)

Yes makes perfect sense! Well said - thank you!

Your statement covers so many people that have no choice. I have a grand daughter that provides service to many of these retired and having no money to support themselves or loved one within a public supported service. She has told me about people that do their best to provide for the loved ones that provided for them when they needed it. the high costs of health care and the shrinking support from insurance companies offer little. Then we have the strict laws that provides prosecution when the support provided proves inadequate by their standards. Standards that are not applied to the care facilities should anyone file complaints. Standards that apply trip hazards in homes that exist on second floors even when the patient cant gain access to it. the reason is clear. they are forced to put them into public facilities to insure they have enough patient's to justify their existence. To accuse I ask all to look at these companies donations to politicians. Politicians who vote to keep these institutions running and filled with poor people who have no voices even to complain. Does government offer services that provide many with institutions that provide the care they need? Yes they do. The problem comes when the people that provide the governing's tool that protect is under staffed and under funded ans well as being filled with under trained individuals. My grand daughter who works for a private firm has a masters training which she tells me pushes her training to the limit. How can we expect to receive the same support with people who have degrees in underwater basket weaving . Stuffy, I believe your right about wanting the personal freedoms to have control. The problems come with people like myself are ignorant to the facts and must rely upon government to be truthful to inform us how those decisions can be made. We as citizens must change this. Again in my ignorance's havent the skills to provide any leadership to anyone. The very reason I ask for help frequently. Thanks for reading my post.----------- I, Grampa

Grampa, I suspect you know full well what is right and what is wrong! Maybe you lack the confidence to act but whoever said life was easy? You need to be able to look into the mirror and agree that the face looking back at you has done the right thing, regardless of what other people might think. We all fail at some point and in some way but the important thing is to keep trying - the System will always be against us but we just have to satisfy ourselves that we are striving to do the right thing. We can do no more.

So simple common sense and basic morality issues were overlooked, set aside generally pissed on in the name of virtue signaling throughout this entire operation. The public was intentionally lied to using fear based propaganda by the very people tasked with protecting and preventing such things from happening in the first place. Even now despite all of the data to contradict their lies, these same people are playing stupid trying to pass the buck and shift blame away from themselves as if they’ve had no part in it all. Even with their words being on signed documents or directly from their lying mouths having been recorded on video. Another sickening aspect is government’s use of private corporations and tech companies to push states agendas.

We are living in extremely dangerous times. If society can escape from this and with what scars remains a question unanswered.

Wow. That brief presentation is stuffed with mind-blowing information. Even if a lot of us maybe already knew most or all of what he covered, Dr Atlas does the best job I’ve seen yet of laying it all out in efficient and fascinating fashion. He speaks with such clear authority and integrity. Imagine how differently this all would’ve played out if he had been leading the response. I’m beyond impressed. Bravo Dr. Atlas and thank you Joel for sharing this!!

I answered no to all three WITHOUT reviewing all the data you provided. But the reason is that it was the wrong question: the EUA should have never been granted based on the fact that before the rollout, treatments using repurposed drugs had already been established and as such would invalidate the basis for the EUA. These treatments were criminally suppressed and ignored by the leadership (whoever that was), and actively and fraudulently suppressed in the academic and pharma science community. It looks very much like a conspiracy to suppress working treatments and mandate protocols that actively produced worse, often deadly outcomes, with the intent of creating a market for dangerous, untested shots with no liability. Where's my tin hat!?

It seems that most people prioritize safety over freedom when subjected to psychological operations to instill fear (often based on manipulated or inaccurate data) and provide "nudges" toward toxic solutions. I can't blame them - this is just the way human psychology works and it's being actively exploited for harmful ends. I blame the exploiters.

Love the last question!

How about re-framing it slightly differently?

"Do the majority of people in society favour paying twice as much in taxes for corrupt and incompetent state control of their personal lives and staggering increases in violent crime rates from already dangerous levels?"

Expand full comment

Absolutely. Taxes are an integral part of system abuse. It's time people properly appreciated two important facts -

1. The government is not "in power".

2. The government has no money of its own.

Both the power and all the resources (including financial) belong to the people.

The last question points to the sad state of fellow hunan beings now. They dont want liberty. They will take the facade of security over any kind of risk

Expand full comment

Unfortunately you are right. I was born into Social ‘democracy’ in Sweden. It makes all too many people ‘stupid’ as they think the government will help them at all times. Personal responsibility has been whisked out for decades in the schools as I see them only as indoctrination centres which give little way to critical thinking, all for the common good it is said, it is better to conform as it is lonely to go astray. To be more interested and wanting to do better/more meant you had to excuse yourself and almost always wait for others to catch up.

I went heavily astray and will never Ever conform.

Freedom before safety any day of the year.

Should not have gotten it from the get go BECAUSE Docs ALWAYS repurpose drugs, they are allowed to, and there were "adequate and available alternatives" (not for that but that specifically but the FDA never said for that specific issue" at the time.

The vast majority of Americans have never lived in anything close to a free society. If they did, it would scare them shitless because with freedom comes responsibility for one’s own existence.

Expand full comment

Same with the Brits and most of the West - they want someoen to do everything for them and want the rights, won't accept the responsibilities that go with them.

Most people deeply value their freedom, and do not wish to live in a country where their rights are not upheld.

However, when you terrorize human beings they get Stockholm Syndrome very quickly and line up with whomever holds the power over their lives, even if it is the devil incarnate.

It all comes down to what Malcom X so so famously said- "There is no Peace without Freedom because there is no Freedom without Peace."

The behavior of slaves is not the same as the behavior of the Free. I think that what we really learned in the "Pandemic" is that we have been turned into a nation of slaves without realizing it. Slaves ready to take orders to preserve their lives and meanwhile pretend that they are free.

Globally, people were bullied, bamboozled and blackmailed into "consenting" to tyranny.

The WEF has repeatedly admitted that it has seeded Manchurian candidates into governments, medicine, education, military, police.

Pert near everywhere.

For DECADES.

To install it's Great Reset.

Global Fascist Tyranny.

Big Pharma have poisoned billions, and killed tens of millions, globally.

Because they have rigged the laws to allow them to bottle sludge and call it a vaccine.

And change the definition of vaccine.

Most everyone knows someone who is injured or perished from the jabs.

I know 14 dead FROM THE JABS;

one sick old man dead from the

They have committed treason, mass murder, and genocide.
