When you check mortality of total populations it was predicted to start taking off in 2020 and keep increasing. Perfectly naturally, in 2020 it was no more deadly to be 40-60 years old than it was in 2015. Maybe except for increased overdoses.
If you simply multiply mortality rates by age from 2015-2019 to the estimates population distributions for each age cohort for 2020, 2021, 2022...2030 we see a steady increase in total deaths even though the morality rates at each specific age don’t change. This is the impact of the changing demographics.
As an example in Canada in 2019 there were about 285,000 deaths. If you apply the same age specific mortality rates from that period to the estimated population distribution for 2030 you come up with total mortality of just about 400,000 even though the total population is only estimated to increase 5-10%.
Looking at these statistics with an eye for the changing demographics would have predicted this. Hopefully no one would have taken advantage of this expected wall of additional deaths to scare a population into believing it was being overwhelmed by some deadly virus.
