So let me get this straight; breathing in the shit your body breathes out is bad for you, particularly when it has been festering on a damp sponge taped across your mouth. If only that was common knowledge. The really stupid thing here is not this article, its fact that we need to show this article to people. Yet one more notch on the bedpost for natural selection. I don't mean that to sound mean, it just is what it is.

I figured masks wouldn't help much but would probably help a bit... Then they were pushed hard, so figured the science was there saying they made a big difference.

Then found myself trying to convince a friend they worked, so did the obvious thing and looked for some studies....

You know what I found. Worse, I saw what I had found being scrubbed and removed from the internet, even as I was looking at it.

I was already wary about the vaccines but it was seeing the rapid, panicked attempts to hide the literature on surgical masks and viruses that proved to me this isn't about science, a virus or about health.

Today the 'reset' agenda is so obvious even my wife knows about it.

Maybe your wife can convince my husband. That’d be great. He won’t listen to me about any of this.

I wouldn't vote on principle. Its not something they have any right to put to a referendum. It's just one answer when they tell me to wear one: go fuck yourself. Thats all you need.

Stephen Petty, industrial hygienist w 45 yrs of experience, one of the top testifying experts on personal protective equipment (PPE) and exposure control in the country, explained in detail why neither surgical masks nor N95 respirators can protect people from Covid. Moreover, new studies cited by Mr. Petty show that masks increase one’s chances of getting infected. In children, masks are associated with delays in intellectual, social, and emotional development:

But they do keep the speech pathologists in business, and they grow the cost of an “education”. More employees, larger budget, more “kids in need”.

Not sure this is true. I teach English in Japan and have lost almost all of my positions due to the panic. Online lessons only require a video of a single teach broadcast to many classes instead of the many teachers teaching many different classes.

In the US the growth of money and power in education is in “administration”. The actual instructors sit at the bottom of the hierarchy. The “administrators” are well paid. So are the child psychologists and speech pathologists, etc. I wonder if this is happening in Japan as well?

The budget for public education at the county level in most states is staggering. I think my county gives 85% of their budget to the BoE. Not small change. When you get yourself elected to the school board, you have your hands on the largest part of the counties budget. It is the place to be.

I have worked for colleges and vocational schools and various businesses. What I do know is general. The pay system is Japan is different than in the US. Japanese are generally shocked by how much Americans can earn. What they do not realize is that while their salaries might be lower, their benefits are generally higher. The following applies to full time employees only. Some may also apply to part timers, but not all.

Even the lowest level of employees have the costs for their commute paid for by their employer. While they are disappearing, company dorms for single employees still exist. These are either free or at a cost far less than a regular apartment would be. We we married, my wife got a large cash bonus from her employer. Before that, she received a cash bonus towards our house when we bought it. She received not only another such bonus but also financial assistance for child rearing for the first several years. After around 15 years of employment, she received several weeks of vacation and a large, for me, sum of money towards the vacation. All insurance is covered by the company and they file the income tax return for all employees. Many companies have their own clinics or clinics they contract with which provides either free or discounted medical services. Yearly health check ups are free to the employee.

For those who may this is great, image what it actually means. For men and women alike, their physical fitness is a matter of concern for their employer. Your boss will know your weight and body fat index. To receive the financial benefit towards your commute, you must live within a company decided upon radius from your work site and use only approved forms of transportation. The company may even dictate the route you must take. You may be limited in which realtors you may use to seek an apartment of home through. You get the idea.

However, I can not say if the admin people make a lot more than teachers do. Their jobs are more stable as most teachers in secondary education and many in primary Ed. are part timers. I am paid handsomely for a single class but general teach only a single class to as many as 4 tops for any one employer. Admin folk work and are thus paid year round. I am in summer vacation at present and thus, my income is extremely low but in a normal year would pick up substantially in the Fall when classes start back up. If I could work full time at my class rate, I would indeed be wealthy but 7 hours of class is the most I am able to fit in a day now, well prepanic. The rest of the day is spent commuting between schools. When younger and before we had our son, I did indeed work more hours but that meant getting home between 10 and midnight each night.

Government employees get lots of perks here as in the States. Comparable? Perhaps not if between counterparts in the the two nations but probably if looked at through the disparity of pay and allowances between private and public employees and then compared between the US and Japan.

The thing that burns me up about all you say is, that this, all of it, had been known for an entire century, proved again and again many times over the years prepanic. This is not new knowledge.

Criminal schemes have been around for centuries, and we still fall for them today. Real knowledge is power, and taking real knowledge out of the curriculum takes the power away. Education has become the main tool of the left in the US, from grade school to university. They do not know what has happened to them, so they do not care.

Cattle.

There are many people in public education, and private education, who are not there for the same reasons you are. Our system was a safe harbor for communists, at least as far back as the 1930’s. My parents were taught by communist party members. It was much easier to organize children in a warm building than laborers in a steel mill, or auto plant, and the goal was much more easily achieved.

Yep, yet I somehow did not fall for it. I remain mystified that so many do. A short time before the panic, for her speech, one of my students choose lying as her subject. She made an interesting statement, that I was dubious of at first. Upon further thought, she definitely had a point and now, after what we went through and are still going through with our responses to covid, she was right. One can only be lied to if they allow themselves to be lied to.

Good thoughts, from a good student. My parents took me to Sunday school. I learned about God there, and even when my parents seemed to have abandoned Him, the guidance was still there in my mind. In church they talked about accepting Jesus Christ as our savior and becoming “saved”. In fact, I was saved not in the afterlife, but, through a foundation of morality and a fear of God, in the here and now, many times. You can’t even see perfection from where I have been in my life, but my Sunday mornings in church have served me well.

For fauci’s sake, I have been arguing Dr. Fogens’s points for two and a half years. It truly seems that most of the world has had all they knew prior to 2020 erased from their brains. Dr. Fogen’s points are not new. I learned this in the late 80’s when I got certified in the use of respirators.

While I am greatful that he went through the effort to conduct a recent study (I have had a nurse ignore all studies I provided that were conducted prepanic citing some 5 year limit on the validity of studies.) at the same time I am frustrated that must we reinvent the wheel to protect ourselves from these idgits?

Lol @ relying on physicians to discuss physical principles.

In the unmasked case, particles >100 microns simply fall to the floor, whereas in the masked case they are caught by masks and potentially breathed in or exhaled from the mask as virus aerosol.

So the Fogen effect brings up the question of how viremia occurs. What is the mechanism? An alternative explanation is that the nasopharynx is heavily vascularized and is thus always potentially subject to viremia.

The cells of the nose replicate very quickly and are always in a state of flux under normal conditions.

"We found that the receptor protein -- ACE2 -- and the TMPRSS2 protease that can activate SARS-CoV-2 entry are expressed in cells in different organs, including the cells on the inner lining of the nose. We then revealed that mucus-producing goblet cells and ciliated cells in the nose had the highest levels of both these COVID-19 virus proteins, of all cells in the airways. This makes these cells the most likely initial infection route for the virus."

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/04/200423130420.htm

Viremia occurs before symptoms are seen.

"SARS-CoV-2 viremia was first detected on March 19, 2020, 2 days before the first symptoms (fever and dry cough) occurred and inflammatory parameters began to rise."

Yes, but medical doctors know everything. Don’t believe me, ask them.

I am certified in the use of respirators and teach English at medical universities in Japan. Japan has a long history of masking to prevent viral spread with no measurable difference in flu and other respiratory diseases than countries than have not had this custom. No matter, theys doctors, soes we ignorant engineers are to just shut the fauci up….but I don’t. Thus, I am currently all but unemployed.

Joel, thank you. I saw this new study from Kansas yesterday. It is extremely concerning. However, I also saw other studies like this:

"Specifically, a natural experiment across 200 countries showed 45.7% fewer covid-19 related mortality in countries where mask wearing was mandatory..."

Title: "Effectiveness of public health measures in reducing the incidence of covid-19, SARS-CoV-2 transmission, and covid-19 mortality: systematic review and meta-analysis"

How do we explain the differences? Of course, there may be many unadjusted confounders.

Finally ALL (mask) studies which only report covid case rates/growth or covid mortality of mask wearers vs. no mask wearers are highly misleading. The real clinical endpoint should be total mortality.

I want to see prospective controlled studies comparing the total severe morbidity and total mortality of mask wearing vs. no mask wearing people, also stratified by age etc.

Without these studies we do not know the true effect of masks.

There are studies and data which indicate that masks may actually increase the risk of many diseases. Masks might increase the risk of or worsen heart disease, neurolgical disease, cancer etc.

Kisielinski et al. wrote:

"Extended mask-wearing by the general population could lead to relevant effects and consequences in many medical fields."

"The potential drastic and undesirable effects found in multidisciplinary areas illustrate the general scope of global decisions on masks in general public in the light of combating the pandemic. According to the literature found, there are clear, scientifically recorded adverse effects for the mask wearer, both on a psychological and on a social and physical level."

"Wearing masks does not consistently cause clinical deviations from the norm of physiological parameters, but according to the scientific literature, a long-term pathological consequence with clinical relevance is to be expected owing to a longer-lasting effect with a subliminal impact and significant shift in the pathological direction. For changes that do not exceed normal values, but are persistently recurring, such as an increase in blood carbon dioxide, an increase in heart rate or an increase in respiratory rate, which have been documented while wearing a mask, a long-term generation of high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis and coronary heart disease and of neurological diseases is scientifically obvious. This pathogenetic damage principle with a chronic low-dose exposure with long-term effect, which leads to disease or disease-relevant conditions, has already been extensively studied and described in many areas of environmental medicine. Extended mask-wearing would have the potential, according to the facts and correlations we have found, to cause a chronic sympathetic stress response induced by blood gas modifications and controlled by brain centers. This in turn induces and triggers immune suppression and metabolic syndrome with cardiovascular and neurological diseases."

"Theoretically, the mask-induced effects of the drop in blood gas oxygen and increase in carbon dioxide extend to the cellular level with induction of the transcription factor HIF (hypoxia-induced factor) and increased inflammatory and cancer-promoting effects and can, thus, also have a negative influence on pre-existing clinical pictures."

Everyone should read this review.

There have been many studies on the effectiveness of masks against viruses since the Spanish Flu pandemic. It has long been known that they do not work against viruses and why they do not work against viruses and how they can not. Look into filtration systems and their requirements. Here, one can easily see that masks can not meet these requirements for viruses.

Hi, I ran into fögen effect some time ago. It explained pretty well the ineffectiveness of masks, and more importantly, why they may do more harm! This anecdote, often faced with rct's among health professionals, got its explanation.

The Mercola article was pretty good with typical one "i got it slightly wrong" moment.

I have a snorkel mask with head pipe. So my natural air pipe of ca. 30cm or 12 inch doubles down. Then I have to move double the air volume in order to get oxygen; the breath shortage while crawling is imminent.

The lousy face masks do not trap co2 tiny molecules, but there must be some transient overabundance, smaller than with snorkel. Yes, you inhale with more force and volume. Yes, you nebulise the pathogens trapped in the mask. And take them deeper down into the airpipe.

Dr. Eades made a reference to "fake mask" manufacturer. I am interested.
