According to Ourworldindata.org, the UK emits 313 million tons of CO2 per year. That is 0.8% of the worldwide total of 38.6 billion tons. The UK could just disappear and it would not make any difference.

The world wide total is 2% of the CO2 in the atmosphere. Humanity could disappear and it wouldn’t matter.

This proves the net zero fanatics despise humanity.

Wendy Leonard's avatar

the world wide total of 2% is still an overestimation, done by false emission figures that hasnt allowed for the natural CO2 release as the weather has warmed slightly. Especially as in New Zealand ( and probably elsewhere) they include cattle and sheep in that figure, yet no wild animals, which if we did not farm would populate the world anyway. deer, bison, wolves etc. Termites produce more CO2 than humans

Charles Mccarville's avatar

Yes, I didn’t even attempt to drill down to how OWID got their numbers, I assume they are in good faith, but that’s it. That allows me to use their own data to undermine their hysteria. China is by far the largest emitter and rising rapidly, while the US has declined slightly as natural gas replaces coal for electricity.

But even if China were to disappear, the effect on total CO2 would be negligible. So steel-manning the net zero nuts shows how nutty or evil they really are.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

Agreed! If you dig down to my ThinkScotland post, it shows the OWID graph of UK versus World CO2 emissions which is clear proof that unilateral UK Net Zero is utterly pointless and that the people of Britain are being taken for fools by our Uniparty politicians: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/annual-co2-emissions-per-country?country=GBR~OWID_WR~OWID_WRL.

Charles Mccarville's avatar

It is also possible these people are very stupid as well as evil.

A few simple numbers disprove an entire movement. Anyone who sincerely believes reducing CO2 helps save the world is a profound fool, and needs to be told so.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

Many of them undoubtedly are very stupid, having swallowed the false official propaganda hook, line and sinker. However our privy council-briefed political leaders must know that Net Zero is nothing to do with climate but is a deep state subterfuge to weaken the economy, impoverish the people and (they hope) lead to the imposition of totalitarian one-world governance.

I cannot wait for a day when I might be lucky enough to tell Carney he is a complete fool. A pompous, arrogant one, to boot.

M. Dowrick's avatar

Puts things into perspective. Thank you.

Charles Mccarville's avatar

You bet! These number are so trivially simple that anyone who believes CO2 is killing us all is deliberately ignorant.

I did have to calculate the CO2 in the atmosphere myself. It is just atmospheric pressure x 0.04% concentration x area of the earth.

Pete's avatar

At the rate the UK Labour party are going the UK will soon be no more.

M. Dowrick's avatar

Thank you Douglas. We do not hear from you often or enough.

It is plainly obvious that Net Zero is a world wide confidence trick, following on from the global confidence trick of the 'covid' virus ( aka 'flu' given a new name because Fauci said people weren't sufficiently SCARED of the flu).

The population are being scared by weather maps showing deep red/ purple, records ( misleading, using junk temperature sites) of hottest ever May, June, July days, pictures of wild fires in Europe etc, water shortages ( not surprising considering the rapid increase in population esp in the south east of UK), which are blamed on 'climate change', 'climate emergency'.

Net Zero is an evolving confidence trick, more than 'Covid-19' could ever be because viruses like flu are seasonal visitors. Net Zero is a multi layered operation, can be extended for decades, be infinite. It can overlay so many aspects of daily life ( the drive for Smart meters, heat pumps, plug in solar panels), and on the macro level, energy, farming, businesses, which are all bring destroyed/ diminished bit by bit.

How long can this destructive confidence trick be maintained? It won't stop if Milliband is removed - he's just the weird figurehead in the UK.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

Agreed that moving Miliband will make no difference. Ditto replacing Starmer with another deep state puppet.

Also agreed that Net Zero is a worldwide confidence trick but we have now got to the point where the only countries being harmed by it are those running the confidence trick! How long can that continue when the majority rest of the world and now the USA don’t give two hoots about Net Zero? Trump is winning bigly and we must hope that he survives to see it through. We need to publicise the great MAGA job he is doing to counter the TDS malice put out by the captured MSM.

Sherry 1's avatar

Yes. The Canadian media are ruthless. Seems the Commonwealth countries, run by the City of London are the trickiest Net Zero freaks.

There's been an encouraging downplay of the entire climate scam recently, especially the change of position by IPCC (the head of the beast) on the most extreme scenarios - upon which most of the lunatic models and projections were based.

This is, of course, not a result of any reversal of nefarious intent but more of a fine tuning brought about by AI and Data Centers. The Globalist cabal need these to complete the digital prison in which they want to force us to live and they recognize that the energy required to power them simply cannot be provided by renewables and requires nuclear and fossil fuels.

This is, of course, inconsistent with "Net Zero" so they were forced to modify their approach based on their overall priorities because, when the digital prison is complete, with Digital ID and CBDC) they will already be a large step closer to their NWO without the full execution of their other tactical programs (including Net Zero and mass indiscriminate immigration) to destroy Western economies, cultures and societies to ease the NWO implementation as the "solution" (Problem>Reaction>Solution).

Douglas Brodie's avatar

Good point about the IPCC’s retraction of its extreme scenario. But have climate propagandists like the Met Office retracted their fearmongering reports based on the now retracted IPCC scenario? Of course not.

I’m not so worried about the “digital prison” as I was because I don’t think they will be able to go through with it when the USA is already warning them off such anti-freedom methods.

Further to my earlier comment on the tyranny of Nadhim Zahawi and others during Covid, the ulterior goal of the Covid plandemic was to get the entire population hooked on vaccine passports which would morph into Digital Id shackles, but thankfully they failed on that. Reiner Fuellmich and his team covered it all here: https://metatron.substack.com/p/reiner-fuellmichs-grand-jury-court.

philipat's avatar

And Reiner is still in jail. Germany is the same, or perhaps even worse, than the UK's dystopia.

The Met Office, and the BBC, are still lost in Globalist wonderland, disguised as liberalism. The UK is clearly behind the curve in the trend and that's because Starmer has been ejected. Starmer is a Globalist Trojan Horse. A member of the (Rockefeller/Brzezinski Trilateral Commission) who has surrounded himself with Midwit Marxists to exploit as useful idiots to pursue the agenda of his Globalist Masters.

In the UK, the Civil Service has also been entirely taken over by the Globalist agenda without any political leadership like in the US to change it. It's virtually impossible in the UK to fire these people.

Sherry 1's avatar

Reiner is a hero.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

Here’s Reiner’s latest post from prison. He is optimistic about getting released soon and is pleased at how President Trump is running rings around the crumbling European establishment: https://drreinerfuellmich.substack.com/p/new-statement-from-dr-reiner-fuellmich-2a1.

After my reference to “Orwell’s dystopian 1984”, I should added ‘so-named because 1984 is the 100 year anniversary of Labour’s “wolf in sheep’s clothing” Fabian Society’ and it’s “long march through the institutions”. Orwell was very prescient.

Hi Margaret, You obviously picked up on my reference to “philanthropaths”, the term you so aptly coined. I read most of the “Canary in the Climate World” book looking for new insights.

Margaret Anna Alice's avatar

I so appreciate your usage of the term, Douglas—and the credit! Especially since a plagiaropath hysterically tried to claim credit for it recently in the comments of a podcast I appeared on 😆

Spot on Douglas. I had a spat with the Hemiko Suoervisor here in Worthing. They're building an air source heat pump system - a town prototype apparently.

Two years in it's still not online at a cost of £88m.

They are digging up the seafront to lay the pipes to the Leisure Centre (Splash point).

I asked the Supervisor what they were doing as they hadn't put an info board up. I told him it's a huge waste of money, our money. You obviously don't agree with Net Zero he asked - No. I come from a mining and engineering family. The energy or carbon output in the mining and engineering of plastics for pipes and metals processing is incalculable.

He just laughed.

Every facet is a lie:

Man made “emissions” controlling/influencing the Climate/temperatures are a fiction backed by pseudoscience aka “modelling”

The government aka the UN affiliates (IPCC) know best how to tackle “Climate change” & possess any authority

Trillions in taxation/redistribution of wealth/government controlled “Industry” will stop or slow global temperatures from increasing by 1.5°C

The entire thing is purely an excuse for yet more governance. All governance is tyrannical and taxation is theft. Don't bother writing to branches of government (reform, any MP, etc) either. They are in and part of the Matrix aka governance (rule under threat of violence).

Allied to the problem of the dysfunctionallity of any instituionalised coercive hierarchy of inequality and oppression and exploitation and alienation is the power of scientific technology which leads to suchinsane irrational inefficient things as the internal combustion engine and elctric powerd engines. And this supported by the religion of science and technology see eg David Noble's The Religion of Technology L Mumford's The Myth of the Machine, J Ellul TheTechnological Society, and EF Schumacher, Small is Beautiful

An amazing document. If only someone who knows how to do it would send this to Ed Milliepead (pelling) and also the rest of UK Labour party.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

There is absolutely no point in using rational argument to try to persuade Ed Miliband to change course. I tried it for decades with him and other Uniparty politicians but always got fobbed off. That’s why I now concentrate on trying to influence the voters via posts like this.

Unfortunately Farage and Reform are establishment and no better than the legacy Parties. Nevertheless, I believe that he will be re-elected in Clacton and it's also in the script for the public to push for an early GE which Reform will win comfortably. And if we think that the past Labour and Tory governments have been bad, then in the words of the 70's song, "You ain't seen nothin' yet."

Douglas Brodie's avatar

I think you are unjustifiably pessimistic. Reform may not be perfect, but they are the only hope we have for real change. I don’t believe they are “controlled opposition” as you suggest and although implementing proper reform will be a herculean task, there is no other alternative on the horizon.

Alan J Hamilton's avatar

I wish I could be as optimistic but time will tell regarding Farage and Reform. The Clacton stunt is already a 'clown show' as David Kurten puts it and a scripted charade. Voting for more of the same will not get us out of the current situation and something more radical is required.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

We await your suggestions with bated breath. Here’s a positive take on Reform and Farage by journalist Allison Pearson: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/britain-finished-without-nigel-farage-135211311.html.

philipat's avatar

I do agree that Reform (with all its failed Deep State Tories) needs watching VERY closely. That said, I believe the immediate priority is remove this egregiously terrible Marxist Government with a Trojan Horse Globalist (Trilateral Commission member) at its head. And I believe that Reform is realistically the only hope of doing so at the next election.

After that, hopefully Labour will be unelectable for decades and we to the right of centre can then debate the policies and nuance between Reform and Restore. But first, let's get Labour out.

Douglas Brodie's avatar

Agreed that Reform’s adoption of old school Tories is a bit worrying, especially the likes of Nadhim Zahawi who was a tyrant during Covid. However maybe he can change his spots as he is reported in The Times (courtesy of Daily Sceptic News Roundup) of saying supportively that “Nigel Farage faces a deep state conspiracy”.

It’s mainly but not just Labour we need to get out, it’s the entire Uniparty which includes the SNP in Scotland.

philipat's avatar

Yes, I think we are in full agreement on all
