The "heroism" angle is a bit of light bulb moment. I hadn't considered this as a motivating factor. That those people who believe they are fighting a lethal dragon fool themselves into believing they are doing something "heroic", and actually slaying the dragon (putting covid to bed and moving on) would lose them this image of themselves and this sense of heroic purpose. If it turns out they were just fighting a common or garden animal all along, their ego balloon would be punctured, and the cognitive dissonance too much to bear. I think this may be angle we have missed, but is an important part of the jigsaw. This also ties with the Medical Institutional Narrative of "war" - we are beating cancer, fighting this disease, etc. more generally, which allows doctors a hero or saviour complex. Conversely, one of my main piece of advice for folks with chronic illness is "reject the Medical Institutionalized Narrative, which uses the language of war such as “battling the disease” or “fighting”, and instead focus on making peace inside and out;"

Let’s not forget that most people did not die on the streets or at home. They were taken to the hospital where they were induced into an artificial comma and given rendesevir which is a deadly concoction that has never helped anyone. What happened was sheer malpractice based on the authorities top down with doctors being helpless to be doctors and rather have to follow instructions. What happened was mass murder. Intentional for the sake of profits from a group that don’t care how many die as long as they get Cheri profit.
